Weirdo

My musical tastes are getting so friggin weird, it seems. There was a time when I would not listen to anything other than electronica, synthpop and darkwave. Well, at least I would not admit to listening to anything other than that, which is truly pathetic. So, I just got done downloading mad amounts of Neil Diamond and other random cliched songs from the 70's - American Pie by Don McClaine included. I will never hear the end of that from my husband who stared at me with this huge, heavy look of disappointed when he saw me singing it. Some of the songs in my current playlist include Cherry Cherry (Neil Diamond), Burning Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash), Don't Stop Me (Queen), Killing Me Softly (Roberta Flack).....I don't know what the hell has gotten into me. I swear I am listening to shit my 40-something year old brother would have thought was cool. I suppose it's a sign that I might actually be growing up - the whole diversity in tastes and all. I don't know. What I do know is that I have monster cramps and my stomach hurts because I have eaten so many Midols in an attempt to make the pain go away. Damn, I wish that I had a vicadin or percocet or something so I could at least be floating on a sea of opiates. That would be much better than this excruciating pain. Dad has them, but it's too far to drive and he is probably sleeping.

Yawn, I'm tired. My journal entries are so boring...
